The chances are if you are reading this then you probably have a computer of your own. Thinking of a holiday to Elounda but finding it difficult to book through travel agents? Then why bother when you have your very own travel agent in the sitting room. Your computer is not just a tool for surfing the net you can use it to book your holiday at a cheaper rate and get the holiday when you want and the sort of holiday you want. This sort of booking is known as self build holidays, you book your flights and hotel separate and usually direct with hotel and airline etc. Think about it you have a powerful tool in your home is it not time to try it out?

In the next few weeks I will be showing you how you can save money on holidays to Elounda in fact how you can save money on most of your purchases. The computer can be a wonderful tool if you use it right it can be a window onto the world even a doorway. I have been buying over the internet for many years now, this includes tickets and holidays and I have never been let down. I have heard many stories from tourists of how unhappy they are about the holidays they have booked through a tourist agent. How the hotel room is not how it was promised to be. If you buy a product and it promises to offer you something then by all rights that is what you should get at the very least. Why do the tourist agents/operators get away with this? Well lets take an example, say you were in a restaurant in England and you asked the waiter for a bottle of red wine and he brings you a bottle of white what would you do? Would you accept the white wine and say nothing or would you tell the waiter you ordered red? Well I would tell the waiter of his mistake and expect the red wine forth with. I am sure most of you would also inform the waiter of his mistake. Then we come to holidays, if you ordered a certain holiday with certain standard attached to that holiday and you got something less than the standard would you then complain? If you do complain when would you? Lots of people continue with the holiday which they are unhappy with then complain to the tourist agent when they go home!!
So tell me if you got a white wine instead of a red would you drink all the white then complain? Of course not so why do people put up with a substandard holiday then complain later. Your holiday representative is there to hear your complaint not just to sell you over priced excursions she represents the company that you have bought your product (holiday) from. If you are promised a room with a sea view than that's what you should get. More and more people are becoming disillusioned with travel agents most just give up going on holiday because they do not relies there are alternatives to the travel agent. Booking direct with the people who run the services is a great way of cutting out the middle man and even saving you money on the service(holiday) you want, when you want. Just a note here, if you need to complain about something while you are on holiday! then do it to your holiday representative at the hotel apartments etc. First tell her verbally then to take it further ask to fill in a complaints form. This form is very important if you should be claiming compensation later.
