Extreme and beautiful Elounda, we all know how wonderful and hot it is during the summer and we can all just about predict how the weather is going to be during the summer season. However the most beautiful yet unpredictable time is the winter as I hope these pictures will show you, Beautiful sunrises to tornados whatever the weather it shows how extreme and beautiful Elounda is anytime of the year.

A beautiful sunrise lighting up the bay of Elounda
Introduction
On the 18th of March 2009 at approximately 08:00 am. I looked out of the EloundaInfo office window and was very surprised to see multiple tornados developing in the distance. I saw approximately 5 or 6 of these tornados over about 20 minutes, I took some photos and enhanced them so they can be seen more clearly. I hope these photos show you the beauty of Elounda in the winter and amazing extremes of the weather. Less than a week later after taking these pictures the mainland of Greece was hit by tornados.
A beautiful sunrise lighting up the bay of Elounda, the colours that can be seen in the slightly clouded sky are amazing and what made the whole picture even better was the Sahara dust hanging in the sky on the horizon. I hope this picture captures the true beauty of the morning in Elounda.
How many of us look into a dull sky and just see the dullness ? I guess we all do, but get a brake in the cloud and a beautiful picture can be had. All these pictures are from my balcony, just a boring dull day so I thought, then I saw the sun coming through the clouds, I grabbed my camera and took these pictures.

The Beauty Of The Tornado
A lightning storm that lasted all through the night until early morning, the storm was so extreme that at the time of writing this I had no internet connection, my modem got fried. Catching lightning on a still camera is not so easy, so I took some video and took the stills from that. Midnight and for a split second it looked like day.
