The Germans Return To Crete
The best selling novel "The Island" by Victoria Hislop has been brought to life in the small village of Plaka. The village front has been transformed into times passed. Victoria Hislop has been looking around the sets seeing her novel come to life in the little village.
Many local Greeks, Germans, French people have been used as extras in the Mega TV production of the series.
I will keep you all posted with developments of the series.

There has been some interest shown in whether "the Island" television series will be exported to England and other countries. I wrote to the producers of the show and received the following email:
Hi Stephen,
Thank you for your email. Yes, there has been interest from abroad, and we are in talks to export The Island, although nothing has been finalized. Of course, we are constantly getting press, and we try to update our site with pictures and press as we proceed with filming. Thank you for directing your readers to our site, as we try to keep it up to date. Please let me know specifically what other details you are interested in finding out about the production.
