The Lotus Eaters as written in Greek mythology, those who eat the fruit of the lotus tree would loose the desire to go home, well maybe you will want to go home at some point, but maybe you won't want to eat anywhere else after eating at The Lotus Eaters.
Some of my favourites from the menu include, Peppered Steak (with cream brandy-and mustard sauce served with potato wedges) or the Roast Leg Of Lamb (served with Greek style roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables) A great selection of fish dishes including Grilled Bass (with Greek style fried potatoes and tomato salad with balsamic dressing) You can also pre-order Lobster. Also a great selection of mezzes, Salads and starters. If you cannot find what you want from the menu tell Lotus Eaters and they will try and make you what you wish. A wide selection of Greek dishes and international cuisine.
A beautiful family run restaurant/taverna with excellent food and professional service, spectacular views, a place to relax and enjoy the flavours of Elounda. Fantastic views over the bay this restaurant/taverna is a real favourite of mine and so I award Lotus Eaters the EloundaInfo Quality Award, because once you have eaten at The Lotus Eaters you will not want to eat anywhere else. I highly recommend if you visit Elounda to visit Lotus Eaters Taverna and treat your taste buds to the amazing flavours served at Lotus Eaters.

The price for this fabulous restaurant has been reduced from Euro 80.000 to Euro 65.000. The owners are hoping for a quick sale before the beginning of the new season and the offer stands only until the 31. of January 2012. The restaurant is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for food and cooking and despite the problems in Crete and the financial uncertainties all over Europe, the restaurant is doing very well (good ratings on Tripadvisor, Restaurants in Elounda, Crete, plus new edition of the Rough Guide to Crete and Lonely Planet). The restaurant is a very well located prosperous seafront restaurant with a reasonable rent in Elounda, Eastern Crete. Thousands of tourists visit Elounda for their holidays and many tourists come back year after year. The TV series "The Island" after the book from Victoria Hislop has made Elounda even more popular.
The restaurant is situated on the path way that leads from the town centre to the causeway (one of the main attractions of the town with windmills and the canal); it directly over looks the sea and Elounda Bay. It has 19 tables and 50 covers outside under the pergola and 12 covers inside. Customers can sit and enjoy a wonderful view and the ambiance that the restaurant creates. A wide stairway at the side, up to one of the main streets, means that access is from three directions. Inside is a large well equipped bar, with access to two extremely well appointed (automatically lit) separate ladies and gent's toilet. The good size kitchen is equipped with all that you require for the efficient running of a catering establishment oven, grills, fridge's microwaves etc, and all ancillary equipment and utensils. Some of the equipment was only purchased 3 years ago, and the rest has been regularly serviced and maintained. All the seat covers and outside blinds were recently replaced. A full inventory is available.
