Plaka is a small village close to Elounda. Plaka has shops and taverna's next to the sea. It is a great place to unwind and relax and enjoy the flavours of Crete cuisine. Plaka is surrounded by mountains and has a large stone beach. Slowly Plaka is growing and more houses are being built. New businesses are also being opened in 2009.
